THE PATHWAY PROGRAMS IN CANADA

WHAT IS THE PATHWAY PROGRAM?

To achieve your dream of university education in Canada quickly, you can join a ‘Pathway Program’ and gain admission to the university of your choice without taking an exam.

Pathway programs are educational programs offered to foreign students wishing to study at a university or college in Canada, whose English is not proficient.

WITH THE PATHWAY PROGRAM, YOU CAN ENTER UNIVERSITY WITHOUT AN EXAM

For admission to universities in Canada, foreign students are required to submit documentary evidence of their proficiency in English.

For this purpose, foreign students enter the IELTS or TOEFL exams.

However, students attending the Pathway Program do not need to take either of these exams.

This is because, on completion of their Pathway course, they likely have reached the required level of English for university education.

YOU CAN JOIN A PATHWAY PROGRAM AT LANGUAGE SCHOOLS IN CANADA

Pathway programs are normally offered at language schools throughout Canada.

Language schools have agreements with many universities and colleges.

Based on the agreement, your language school in Canada receives a conditional offer/acceptance from the university you would like to study at.

According to this conditional acceptance, you can embark on your undergraduate or graduate education at the university after completing the Pathway program at the language school with which the same university has an agreement.

YOU CAN STUDY GENERAL ENGLISH AND ACADEMIC ENGLISH AS PART OF THE PATHWAY PROGRAM

Pathway programs last up to one academic year at the most.

Within the scope of the program, you receive education in both general and academic English, note-taking, listening, critical thinking, reading academic articles, preparing articles, developing exam techniques and research methods, and developing academic debate skills.

You can also get advice from your school counselors about choosing a department of study and your education plans.

PATHWAY PROGRAMS OFFER A HUGE ADVANTAGE IN CANADA

Participating in a Pathway program will allow you to adapt to daily life and school life in Canada before you start university, making the transition easier.

Moreover, the program ensures you gain post-secondary admission while avoiding the stress of the IELTS exam.

These programs are designed to increase your English language and academic skills in order to help you with a smooth transition into post-secondary.
